Our First Year
Today is officially The Playbook’s first birthday. That time has gone incredibly quickly and it’s the kind of occasion that prompts me to pause and reflect on what we’ve done in that time. It’s quite a lot!
Here are just a few of the things I’m especially proud of working on over the last 12 months:
Helping to raise the NFL’s profile and grow the UK fan base to ever-higher levels, through a year-round earned media strategy
Creating an award-winning integrated campaign for Standard Chartered to support the Seeing is Believing programme
Helping Le Col to raise its brand profile and raise over £1m on Crowdcube, through PR, social media and influencers
Running a media event at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to celebrate GO Run For Fun and The Daily Mile
Establishing Pitchero as the premier grassroots sport digital platform, through earned media and content distribution
Running an earned media and influencer programme to help MiiXR (a revolutionary piece of fitness technology) hit its target on Kickstarter
Delivering a significant increase in social media engagement for Henley Royal Regatta
Creating #LDNMovesMe, a social campaign for London Sport, inspiring Londoners to be more physically active
On top of that we’ve done some great work with British Triathlon, Tribe Nutrition, Omron, the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay and many other brands.
We’ve also hired some great people, discussed getting people active with the Minister for Sport, set up our Change Network and had lots of (hopefully) smart thoughts about marketing, audience behaviour, technology, sport, health and fitness.
A big thank you to all of our clients, the team, the Hanover Group and everyone else who has worked with us and supported us in our first year.
Here’s to even bigger and better things in the future!
